Players interested in playing travel softball for the '24-'25 season will need to register for tryouts online, BEFORE coming to softball tryouts. Registering online ensures that you receive all communication and up-to-date information on tryouts and team formations. Tryout location will be shared closer to the tryout date.

Age groups: 12U, 14U, 16U, 18U

A player's softball age is the age of the player on December 31st of the calendar year they are playing.

Each schedule will vary by team. Over the winter months, practice times will be limited to indoor practices and weekly player development camps/clinics. Spring will allow for a few Saturday tournaments in addition to the mandatory Spring Rec. softball season (ALL Patriots teams must play in the NYO spring league.) There will be local and regional tournaments throughout the Summer with an expectation to practice 2-3x a week. ATL Patriots Softball must be your primary softball Summer commitment through June 30th. 

Our HS program will only play end of May & June (including the spring NYO Softball requirement). Girls will have the opportunity to attend our player development program throughout the off season but it will not be required. More details will be shared via mail for all registrants.

Fall skill sessions will begin in September. The skill sessions will be held in our indoor training facility at NYO (The Dowis Building). Skill sessions are designed to allow players ample practice time while also competing in other fall sports. The expectation is to play at least 3-5 tournaments in the fall.

Yes. ATL Patriots highly recommends that a player attend both tryout sessions. Early deciosn and make-up dates are not required.

We will host our makeup day on Saturday, August 10th, at 10:00 a.m.; we will share more information soon.

An early decision tryout is designed to provide players with enough time to decide after being offered a spot on the official roster. This allows families to thoroughly assess and compare the program, as committing to it is a big decision.

Arrive 10 minutes before the start of your tryout time to check in. 

Players must come well equipped and prepared to play. We ask that players arrive in softball pants and long socks. 

Only players and evaluators are permitted on the field for the duration of tryouts.
